TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Mechanics Cooperative Bank is once again proud to announce the recipients of their annual Scholarship Awards! The Mechanics Cooperative Bank scholarship program was created to support and recognize outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and community involvement amongst local students. The scholarship aims to support young talents in pursuing their educational dreams.
The following students have been selected as recipients of the 2025 Mechanics Cooperative Bank Scholarship:

- Fabiana Gomes, Bristol Plymouth RT HS
- Addison MacDonald, Mansfield High School
- Hannah Abrams, Westport High School
- Alexandra True, Apponequet Regional HS
- Amelia Breese, Fairhaven High School
- Cady Morrison, Bridgewater-Raynham HS
- Camryn Jaye Emond, Taunton High School
- John Payne, Seekonk High School
- Madeline Polochick, Apponequet Regional HS
- Tess Silvia, Westport High School
- Alexander Radchouk, Mansfield High School
Christian Cordeiro is a graduate of Greater New Bedford RVT HS, where he was the Varsity Basketball Team Captain/Starter and National Honor Society Vice President. In addition, he received the Renaissance Award for Academic Achievement and the Renaissance Award for Citizenship. Christian is attending Roger Williams University and majoring in Criminal Justice.
Fabiana Gomes attended Bristol Plymouth RT HS and is now enrolled at Bridgewater State University, where she is majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology. While a student at Bristol Plymouth, she served as a B-P Student Ambassador, Soccer Manager/Player, and A Member of Skills USA, Community Service Club, and National Technical Honor Society. She was an Honor Roll student and volunteered for the B-P Blood Drive, Gold Tournament, and Creative for Kids Organization.
Addison MacDonald, a Mansfield High School graduate, served as the Varsity Swim Team Captain and Swim Across America Captain, as well a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society President. Additionally, she was the Student Council Class Representative and Founder of Morgan’s Message (Mansfield HS Chapter) a club that addresses student-athlete mental health. Addison is attending Lafayette College and majoring in Economics.
Hannah Abrams graduated from Westport High School and is attending UMass Dartmouth Honors College, where she is majoring in English. She was the Varsity Field Hockey Goalkeeper, Yearbook Club Editor-in-Chief, and Environmental Club Vice President. As well as a National Honor Society Member, and Students that Exemplify Extraordinary Leadership Member.
Alexandra True graduated from Apponequet Regional High School and is attending Roger Williams University in pursuit of a degree in Legal Studies & Political Science (Double Major). In high school, she was the Drama Club President and Book Club Vice President. Additionally, Alexandra served as Select Choir (Soprano 1), a member of Portuguese Club, and National Honor Society.
Amelia Breese is a graduate of Fairhaven High School, where she was a Volleyball and Softball team member. She was Class President, Culture Club (Co-President), Girl Up (Women in STEM) President, and National Art Honor Society (Secretary). In addition, Amelia served as a United Way Buttonwood Park Zoo event volunteer, and Milicent Libraries “Kids Fest” volunteer. She is attending UMass Dartmouth Honors College with a major in Biomedical Engineering.
Cady Morrison attended Bridgewater-Raynham High School, where she served as captain of the Dance team and was a Student Leader. Cady was also a National Honor Society Member, Vacation Bible Camp Leader, and an Assistant Teacher. She is a student at Endicott College, where she is majoring in Exercise Science.
Camryn Jaye Emond attended Taunton High School and was captain of the Varsity Field Hockey team. She also served in the Student Council, National Honor Society member, and Link Crew (Crew Leader). Camryn is attending Salve Regina University, where she is majoring in Nursing.
John Payne graduated from Seekonk High School, where he served as Unified Basketball (Captain, MVP), Varsity Basketball (Captain, All Star, MVP) and Varsity Baseball (Captain, All Star). Additionally, he participated in Student Government, National Honor Society, Spanish Honors Society. John is now pursuing a degree in Business at Salem State University.
Madeline Polochick attended Apponequet Regional High School, where she was a part of Cross Country (Varsity, Captain, Coaches Award), Indoor Track & Field (Varsity, Captain), and Varsity Outdoor Track & Field teams. In addition, Madeline was a Women in STEAM Ernestia-Morrisey Crew Member, Apponequet Summer Track Camp Mentor, and Women & Infants Hospital Volunteer. She is now attending University of Hartford, where she is majoring in Nursing.
Tess Silvia graduated from Westport High School and is attending Simmons University in pursuit of a degree in Exercise Science / Physical Therapy while in the 3+3 Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. In high school, she was Varsity Soccer Captain, Varsity Basketball Captain, Varsity Softball Captain. Additionally, Tess served as Student Council Class Representative, and Wildcat Ambassador.
Alexander Radchouk attended Mansfield High School and is now enrolled at Purdue University, where he is majoring in Actuarial Science and Statistics. While a student at Mansfield High, he served as Class Treasurer, National Honor Society member, World Language Honors Society member, and Head Editor/Co-Founded a news broadcast. He was an AP Scholar student and Mansfield Food Pantry.
